SAYFC'S East region clubs gathered at Dundee’s Abertay University to compete in the Senior Speechmaking regional eliminations last weekend – and it was Bankfoot JAC's Rosanna Fraser, Mhairi Dalgliesh, Anna Sloan and Beth Alexander who wowed the judges, and will now go through to this weekend's national final, taking place at RBS Gogarburn on Sunday.
The annual competition is judged on various elements marking the performance of the chair and individual panel members.
Runner's up in the east were both teams from Angus Tayside, with the team comprising Mathew Steel, Barbara Shaw, Ju-uad Al Saffar and Jamie Hume picking up second prize, with third place going to Lois Scott, Louise Greenhill, Stewart Hay and Alistair Watson.
Winning the prize for best chairperson outwith the winning team was Matthew Steel of Forfar JAC and also from the same club, Louise Greenhill was awarded the prize for best panel member outwith the winning team.
