There has been much good publicity regarding the initiatives being taken by NFUS and the farming community to explore what can be done to provide a decent return to farmers for beef and lamb.
But this is not helped by 200,000gns being spent on a ram. The public will not have a lot of sympathy for the farming community when they see these kind of daft prices being paid. No sheep is worth this sum.
