This week’s story from 'Farming is Still a Funny Business' written by The Raider old (very old) pal, Andrew Arbuckle, is worthy of a cartoon, I thought. So our cartoonist Wull (Jim Oswald) was given the task of enticing you all to buy a copy to raise funds for RSABI ....

Here's the story supplied for the book from the late Jimmy Simpson, Terryhorn, Huntly:

When the old counties were done away with and the new regions were introduced, an old wifie in the Cabrach asked the local postie what the change would mean.

“Ach,” said the postie, “it means yer address is nae langer Banffshire. Fae noo on ye’ll be in Morayshire.”

“Ach, that’s fine,” said the wifie, “I’m fair scunnered o’ the lang, hard Banffshire winters.”

The book is available from RSABI's online shop – www.rsabi.org.uk/Books ... or call 0131 364 4205. Get one as a Chrissie pressie?
