Introducing our new Farm View writer for next week:
Norman Bagley, from Northallerton, in North Yorkshire, is the often controversial policy advisor to the Association of Independent Meat Suppliers (AIMS). He's someone with an intimate knowledge of the meat trade, how it works and, more importantly, how vital a strong farmer supply chain is to the red meat production chain as a whole.
For instance, he has very strident views on why it’s important that Scotland should NOT go down the same route that England and Wales have in taking the easy route to de-carbonising the industry, ie seriously reducing livestock numbers, especially in the hills and uplands.
Also in next week's issue: Our Spring Livestock Special.
Featuring farms from the North of Scotland to the North of England, plus jam-packed full of useful topics that dairy, beef and sheep farmers will find useful. Don't miss next week's issue.
