2022 is an exciting year for RSABI as we will be celebrating 125 years of supporting people in Scottish agriculture.
Much has changed since RSABI was established in 1897 when the organisation supported 16 'pensioners'. We now help many hundreds of people and their families each year and in 2022 we hope we can support even more people.
As well as all the usual pressures of farming and crofting, the industry is currently facing many challenges including rising energy and input costs, labour shortages and changes to regulations.
In coming months, we’ll be focussing on raising further awareness of RSABI as we believe there are more people in the agricultural community who could benefit from our support services but may not know what we offer. We’ll also be working on new ways for people to get in touch with us.
As it’s our 125th anniversary we’re hoping to encourage 125 new businesses to join our Business and Corporate Supporter Scheme. Giving regularly through the Supporter Scheme is a great way to support our work.
As well as our own 125th anniversary, we’re also very much looking forward to attending the 200th Royal Highland Show in the summer and also celebrating RSABI’s patron Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
