Do livestock farmers use antibiotics responsibly?
IT IS early days, but it now seems almost certain that curtailing antibiotic use in farm animals will have little, or no, beneficial effect on human health.
Indeed, the Royal Society report on the matter concludes that curtailing antibiotic use to the detriment of animal health is unjustifiable.
