A CLOSELY fought competition between Graham Morrison and Robbie Wilson, resulted in the former's Deveronvale flock win the overall North of Scotland Texel flock competition.

Mr Morrison, who first won the medium flock section, also won the reserve honours in the best stock ram, with his home-bred Deveronvale After.

Judge David McKerrow, Nochnary, Fife, presented the reserve trophy to Robbie Wilson's Milnbank flock from Turriff, which first earlier lifted the top award in the large flock section and the champion stock ram with Greenside Alfie. Mr Wilson who farms at North Dorlaithers, Turriff also scooped the award for the best ewe lambs.

Best small flock was Craig Paterson's Cranorskie flock from Cranna Bridge, Aberchirder.

Jemma Green, Corskie, Fochabers won the show trophy flock, with Willie Knox and sons Graeme and Andrew, Mid Haddo, Turriff, taking the blue and white sash.
