IT was the overall champion from the day's biggest section that took the supreme champion of champions ticket at a busy Carsphairn Show.

David Morrison, from Dalwyne, Barr, ran out overall champion of champions, with his Blackface ewe hogg, the Blackface open section winner beating her counterparts from the day's other sections as picked out by judge, Keith Brooke.

Winning the Blackface confined section was a two-crop-ewe from Jimmy Wallace, Fingland, while Robert McTurk, Barlaes, took the honours in the Bluefaced Leicester section with his ewe lamb.

In the Scotch Mule classes, it was also a ewe lamb that triumphed, this time from William Lockhart, Culdoach. The any other breed leader was a Beltex gimmer from Moss Nae Beltex.
