The sun was out and the ring was packed at Ardnamurchan Show to see Hughie MacLachlan tapped out as champion by show judge, Willie McNicol, from Dalmally.

The four-crop ewe from Hughie is out of a home-bred ewe, by an Elmscleugh tup and is breeding well with the tup lamb from this year's set of twins standing first in its class.

Taking this year's reserve spot was first time exhibitor 22-year-old Chloe Cameron with her own February-born Texel tup lamb, by Templand Barney and out of a Croft Dubh ewe.

Topping the under-18 section this year was Allan Curtis, while the trophy for the crofter with the most points was again awarded to Hughie MacLachlan.
