The steer champion from Agri-Expo did it again after taking the senior championship for his owners, Blair Duffton and Rebecca Stuart, from Huntly, at Stars of the Future.

Their 16-month-old Limousin cross, Dirty Dancer, is a son of Swarland Larry and out of a Limousin cross cow. He has taken 11 first prize tickets this summer, including one at the Royal Highland. He was bred by Emily Jones, Coedmore Lodge, Cellan, Lampeter, Ceredigion, and was purchased at Brecon's February sale for £1400.

Other well-known show enthusiasts, Alastair and Liz Vance, Bridgehouse, Whithorn, Newton Stewart, took the reserve senior tickets with The Governess. This 16-month-old Limousin cross heifer was purchased at Barnard Castle, from Messsrs Bent, Maybeview, and is a daughter of Fieldson Mahrez and out of a Limousin cross cow, she is now set for LiveScot and the Welsh Winter Fair.

Among the juniors, it was Sweet Pea that caught judge, Ochiltree's Hugh Dunlop's eye. From Jean Parker, Auchenairney, she was purchased from the McCallums and she also took a first place in her class at Agri-Expo. This seven-month-old heifer is a daughter of a British Blue Genus bull and out of a Limousin cross cow.

Another Limousin cross took the junior blue and white ticket home, this time for Morgan Kay, Parkside Court, Plean. On her first outing was Sunday, a daughter of Sarkley Mercury, out of a Limousin cross cow and she had been purchased at Caledonian's calf sale in September from Gary Bell.
