It was a case of three in a row for brothers Roddy and Hugh Thomson, West Park, Aberfeldy, when they scooped their third championship amongst the prime hoggs with Beltex cross lambs.

The duo who farm 1800 ewes from Mules through to Texel crosses to Beltex, scored a hat-trick with progeny from the same sire that bred the Thomson's champion winners in 2018 and 2019, along with the champion lambs at Aberfeldy Show, last year – a Tiree-bred tup bought at Lanark in 2016 for 1200gns from Alasdair MacLean. Medium-weight lambs that were born in April, they are bred from Beltex cross Texel ewes.

West Park had five pens of lambs forward with all five lifting prize rosettes.

Lightweight Beltex cross lambs from Laura George, Aberchirder, Huntly, lifted the reserve honours. They are by a Blackjack tup bought from Ross and Kirsty Williams.
