The three contenders for the Simmental Champion of the Decade were from 2014, 2016 and 2017 for the treasurer of the British Simmental Cattle Society, Noirman Robson, from Northern Ireland, to judge.
In 2014, the breed was led by Iain and Jimmy Green's Dirnanean Bradley, stock sire to the Corskie herd, near Fochabers; the 2016 contender was from Michael Barlow's Auroch Eve, an Irish-bred cow from his Lancashire herd; with Stewarton-based David Craig's home-bred heifer, Kennox Tara's Gem the contender from 2017.
