A successful year for the Scottish Holstein Club witnessed their yearly awards presented for both the herds' competition and individual club awards.

The herds competition was judged by David Booth of Feizor Holsteins, with high entries in both numbers and quality, from 16 farms, spread across the whole country.

Winning on inspection was the Davidson family from Errolston farm at Gretna, who went forward to the UK Premier herd competition. The same home also won the combined milk records and inspection trophy.

The overall winner of the competition, based on points accumulated in classes was won by David Brewster, from the Boclair herd at Bearsden.

Also presented on the night were special awards to the Holstein Young Breeders, with the senior member of the year being awarded to David Howat of Norwoodbrae, and the junior member of the year went to Andrew Watson, The Muir.
