A 488kg British Blue cross from Newton of Crathie, topped the heifers at 329.90p, while a 718kg Simmental cross from Neuk made £1835.

Young bulls (65) cashed in at 261.46p having sold to 372.40p for a Charolais cross from Knollhead and £1460 for a Simmental cross from Neuk.

On Monday, the firm sold 8159 stores, feeding and breeding sheep, which reached £180 for Cheviots from South Park House.

A Limousin from Middleton, Newton Mearns, led the bullock trade at £1780, while a Charolais from Barduff topped the pence per kg at 304p.

Some 1154 store lambs also went under the hammer and reached £110 for Suffolks from W Barrowman, Mid Knockglass.

On Tuesday, the firm also sold three dairy cattle to a top of £2200 twice from E Corbett.

Averages improved on the year, with 117 heifers and calves cashing in at £2732.94 (+£316.36), with 25 cows and calves at £2273.53 (+£204.60), 130 in-calf heifers levelled at £2489.47 (+£87.20) and 35 in-calf cows averaged £1470.

Topping the in-calf section at £4100 was a Limousin cross heifer due to the Limousin bull from Messrs Bradley, Penny Grange, Settle.
