On Tuesday, Harrison and Hetherington held their annual fair sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Mart, where a Limousin heifer from Messrs Wilson, Belzies, led the proceedings at £1800.

Belzies also sold the lead priced bullock at £1740 for another Limousin.

Among the pence per kg section, Limousins from Messrs Brown, Mosshead, secured the top prices with heifers and steers selling at 422p per kg and 373.9p.
