Balmyle Tremendous, a June 2022-born Charolais bull from Perthshire breeder Bill Bruce, Balmyle, has been sold privately for £13,000.
Backed by the best of genetics, Tremendous is a son of the 6500gns Maerdy One Direction that sired the 28,000gns Balmyle Sandy sold at Stirling. Sandy went on to stand inter-breed champion at Balmoral Show last year for James Albert and William David Connolly, Ballynahinch, and was also voted overall European Charolais champion.
The dam of Tremendous is Balmyle Minerva, a Maerdy Egret-sired cow.
Tremendous has been sold in a two-way split to local Perthshire breeders, Robert Young, Mornity, and Alan Drysdale, Glenericht.
