A joint sale of Beltex, Blue Texels and Badger Face Texels at Welshpool, peaked at 1100gns for Huw and Kate Williams’ March-born ewe lamb, Banc Elin.

Champion Badger Face Texel, this Banc Charger daughter caught the eye of EF Williams and heads to Pantglas, Caernarfon.

Two Badger Faces sold for 900gns apiece, both of which were snapped up by ID and SB James, Llandrindod Wells. First was Whatmore Destiny, a gimmer by an imported Sunnybank ram from Sara Gibbons, Brecon.

Gareth Rowlands from Llanddeusant, Caereybi, also saw his Margwen Disco sell to the James family for 900gns. She is by Llwyn Derw Chopsy.

Dearest of the ewes at 880gns when purchased by JL and AJ Andrew, Ellesmere, was Cornhill Cracker from Sam Duggan, Boughrood, Brecon. She is by Sunnybank Boxer.

Blue Texels broke the four-figure barrier twice, with the first to reach 1000gns being a substitute gimmer from Caryl Howells, Llangadog.

His Caryl’s Blues Goldie is by the imported ram 1514 and sold to CA Jessop and Sons for their Tubsies flock, Leicester who also went to 1000gns for Dovery Golden Girl from JJ Comer and C Simpson, Llandovery.

Beltex sold to 850gns twice for in-lamb gimmers – for Fronarth Hot To Trot, from Sion Jones, Pennant, purchased by JP Phillips, Built Wells and for Michael Owens' Glantre Hullabaloo bought by T Jones, Feelingwm, Uchaf.
