A new competition will see ADF Milking give away a new ADF automatic dipping and flushing system worth up to £30,000, plus consumables and servicing included for a year, to one lucky dairy farmer.

The automatic dipping and flushing system automatically dips each teat directly within the liner, protecting the teat from harmful bacteria in the environment. Liners are then automatically sanitised between milkings to prevent cross contamination between cows.

The system supports the health of the herd, saves labour and vet costs and increases the efficiency of the farm. Teats are protected instantly, resulting in a reduction of mastitis cases as well as improved somatic cell count and milk quality.

Improved cow longevity means more lactations per cow can be achieved, producing a significant increase in milk yield. Automation of the milking routine also means the cows can be milked quicker, saving labour time, and increasing the productivity and efficiency of the farm.

Farmers can also find the right automatic dipping and flushing system to suit their parlour, herd and budget, with the ADF Essential designed for smaller milking parlours. The Professional system is recognised by dairy farmers around the world with teats dipped and flushed at the right time, every time and is designed to work 24/7.

The Ultimate range is the premium flagship system which includes a full array of features and utilises the latest InVent technology to minimise teat end damage.

Farmers can enter online via the ADF website here adfmilking.com/scottish-farmer. Alternatively, they can visit the ADF Milking stand at Dairy-Tech to complete a physical entry form and place it into the ballet box.

The competition is live and entries close before 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7 2024, with the winner announced at Dairy-Tech on the company stand B56, Hall 2 at 3:00 pm.
