Show stoppers old and new made their presence felt at Tarland Show, which attracted a large number of exhibitors and spectators. 
Taking the top title in the beef section again, was the winner from the cross section – Blair Duffton and Rebecca Stuart's 15-month-old Charolais cross heifer, Gold Rush.
Supreme Scottish beef champion at Keith Show, she also stood champion of champions at Fettercairn.
Reserve inter-breed beef was the two-year-old in-calf Charolais heifer Lagavaich Lucy, from Billy and Gary Wright, Lagavaich, Glenlivet. A home-bred daughter of the AI sire Inverlochy Ferdie, she was champion at Keith and Turriff.
Over in the sheep lines, Gemma McIntosh and Charlie McIntyre's Blackface gimmer from Upper Croft Na Garn, Boat of Garten, continued on her winning ways to lift the supreme. Christened DFS, this Allanfauld-bred female bought from the MacGregors at Highland Sheep, is by a £35,000 Dalchirla and stood reserve champion of champions at Sutherland, reserve inter-breed at Keith, and the crofters’ champion at the Black Isle.
Muldearie Candy, a Beltex ewe lamb from Gary Morrison, Bush of Muldearie, Keith, secured the reserve sheep after winning the championship in the any other breed section. 
Leading the horse section was the six-year-old Clydesdale gelding Collessie Full Monty, from Jim Gibb, Shoemakers Croft, Clola, Mintlaw.
