For the first time in 20 years, the supreme sheep was crowned overall champion of champions at Salen Show on the Isle of Mull.
Taking the big one was a four-shear North Country Cheviot ram from Iain Mackay, Torloisk. His show stopper, a St Johns Kirk ram which was bought at Lairg two years ago for £14,000 Castle, is by Grant Jackpot.
Overall cattle champion and and reserve supreme was a six-year-old Highland cow with calf from Alexander Craig and Asha Nelson. The calf, Furan Gun Diul 14th of Glengorm is by a homebred Glengorm bull.
Champion Blackface was a tup lamb from D and J MacLean, Know. He is by a £36,000 Auldhouseburn and out of a ewe by a Crossflat tup.
Primitive sheep champion was a Hebridean ram from J and E Moore, Aros.
Commercial champion was the Texel ewe lamb, Mairi, owned by Laura MacDougall, Tobemory. The lamb is by a tup bred by Angus MacColl, Fanmore and out of a home-bred gimmer.
Laura MacDougall also triumphed to win the top award amongst the goats.
