Scottish sheep shearer, Doug Lambie, had a field day at the Bala Sheepdog Society Sale, selling the lead priced lot at 5700gns.
Selling at this bracket was Llangwm Dan, a black and white dog bred by A Owen being sired by his Mac and bred from his Gael. The dog which was available to view prior to sale via the Bala Sheepdog Society website went was bought by Mr Bird, Lincolnshire.
Next disclosed price was 4600gns paid for Sion Jones' Cefn Eithin Jill, a 21-month-old bitch from Cefn Eithin, purchased by DC Evans, Carwed Fynydd, Llannefydd, Denbigh. She is by AW Morris' Glant Roy and out of Mr Jones' own Queen.
By the end of the day, working bitches averaged £2296; working dogs levelled at £2260.31; young bitches at £525 and dogs at £605.50.
