THERE was a large attendance of buyers from all over the UK and Ireland at Lawrie and Symington's special sale of classic and vintage tractors and machinery at Lanark, where the main sale peaked at £7000 for a V-reg Massey Ferguson 550. 

The sale included the dispersal of the collection from the late William Wilson, Darnfillan, which reached £23,000 for an 06-registtered Valtra 6580, while the offering from John Harkness, Blantyre, sold to a top of £3800 for a 1954 Oliver 99GM.
