Midcombe Brigadier, a Texel ram lamb has been purchased privately for £30,000 by a team of four breeders to include Nick Woodmass of the Harene flock; Archie Hamilton, Smyllum; Ryan Roddan, Dashwell and Gordon and David Gray, Ettrick.
The lamb, from this year's champion flock in the Solway and Tyne Club's competition which last year produced the 10,000gns Midcome Axel, is by Teiglum Young Gun and bred from a Baltier ewe by Kelso Pavarotti that goes back to a sister of the 52,000gn Baltier King.
