JUST short of 500 store cattle were sold at Lawrie and Symington's second show and sale of autumn-born calves at Forfar, judged by Rob and Rory Stodart, Mill of Inverarity.

Bullocks (272) averaged 222p per kg and cashed in at £1315 for a 655kg Limousin cross from EA Morgan, Whitemyre, and 255p for a pen of four 435kg Limousins from R Simpson and Son, Mains of Creuchies.

The 218 heifers levelled at 214p and sold to £1170 for a 545kg Limousin from TM and R Wilson, Wairds of Alpity, and 251p for a pen of four 395kg Limousins from Mains of Creuchies.
