HARRISON and Hetherington’s annual show and sale of native-bred cattle attracted a quality show of 1009 head, last week, where a pen of eight Aberdeen-Angus bullocks from Messrs Ross, Wester Middleton, topped the trade at £1600.
While bullocks averaged 214.2p per kg and heifers levelled at 193.8p, Aberdeen-Angus also topped the heifers at £1410 from Stobswood.
The same two homes scooped the champion and reserve tickets in the pre-sale show judged by George MacFadzean, Woodhead of Mailer, Perth. Champion single was a bullock from Wester Middleton, while reserve went to Stobswood’s Aberdeen-Angus cross heifer.
