Lancaster's Christmas dairy show and sale saw a top price of £2500 paid for StardaleFlame Vaakje from J Burrow and Son. This Holstein heifer sold to A Bargh, Wood Close, Skelton.
The day's overall champion made £2300. This was Bilsrow Corinthian Tellar from Tomlinson Bilsrow. Having calved at the end of November and yielding 30kg, she was bought by GCL Stephenson, Deansbiggin, Kirkby Lonsdale. The same home sold Bilsrow Corinthian Christina for £1950.
Pennine Dorothy 514, a recently calves heifer from Drinkall Bros met with a £1920 call from JS and KM Wilson and Son, Kendal.
Leading the cows was Stardale Pirate Vaakje from J Burrow and Son which sold at £1900 to MJ and K Ayrton, Bambers, Lancaster.
