The sale of Aberdeen-Angus in Worcester saw a strong trade with an average of over £3800 for 14 bulls sold and a top price of 5000gns.

Topping the sale at 5000gns was Warrneho Escalator, a May 2017-born son of Hallington Wizzard, out of Warrenho Ethelda, from AE and CR Bishop, Wokingham, Berkshire. He has a Terminal Sire Index of +38 and a Self Replacing Index of +47 and sold to D and J Pugh, Brecon, Powys.

The Bishops also had the reserve champion in the form of Warrenho Emmett, another son of Wizzard, out of Warrenho Emerald, a daughter of the 2009 Royal Show champion, Warrenho Dalmigavie. She sold at 4800gns to SW Clarke, Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire.

Next at 4700gns was Oakchurch Domino from Jeremy and Ala Price, Staunton on Wye, Herefordshire. He is a May 2017-born son of Oakchurch Equity and had earlier took the show championship. he was bought by Rand Contracting, Royston, Hertfordshire.

Having made the long journey south from Alford, Aberdeenshire, Neil and Mark Wattie sold Tonley Abraham for 4300gns. By Blelack Evor, this April 2017-born bull is out of Tonley Annie and sold to MC Price, Leominster, Herefordshire.

Two bulls sold for 3900gns, the first being Westwilmer Juno Eric from MR and SK Westcott and Son, Minehead, Somerset. By Linton Gilbertines Pride M604, this one was bought by E and I Price, Mitchell Troy, Monmouth.

The Price family sold Oakchurch Duke at the same money. This Oakchurch Dakota son was another bought by MC Price, Herefordshire.

Topping the sale of females at 3500gns was Oakchurch Frances from Jeremy and Ala Price. This ET-bred daughter of Rawburn Transformer is out of Southfield Fortuna and sold with her heifer calf by Te Mania Berkley to SW Clarke, Staffordshire.

The same buyer also bought the female champion, Rodmead Evening Tinge U870, at 2650gns from Angus Neish, Warminster, Wiltshire. This February 2018-born heifer is by Glympton Rebellion L549 and is out of a home bred daughter of The Moss Kristof.

Also heading to the same new home was the reserve female champion, Warrenho Julum Erica, a September 2017-born Hallington Wizzard P445 daughter from the Bishop family.
