Store heifers (68) cashed in at 201.2p and sold to 256.4p per kg for a 195kg Limousin cross, reaching to £935 for a 445kg Limousin cross both Easter Moy, Muir of Ord. Young bulls (2) topped at £830 from Easter Moy Farm. The sale of 3707 store sheep was also held where 223 lambs averaged £50.41 and sold to £74 for a pen of Cheviots from Torachilty, Contin, and also for Suffolk crosses from Foxhole, Kiltarlity and 186 Migdale, Bonar Bridge.

Strong continental bull calves were sharper on the week, with the top price of the sale at £460 coming from a British Blue bull from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown, Longtown. The sale of 458 store cattle forward resulted in a Limousin cross steer selling to a top of £1170 from Messrs Stainton, The Garth, Carlisle. A mixed show of 391 suckled calves were forward, where Gary Bell, Haas Side, topped the sale at £1070 (x2)for Limousin cross bullocks and £1020 for a Limousin cross heifer.

Bullocks sold to 312.5p for Charolais crosses from Pittenkerrie, Glassel and £1250 twice, for a 620kg Limousin cross from Sheep Park, Bridge of Marnoch, then for Charolais crosses from Biffie, Old Deer. Limousin’s topped the heifers at 292.6p from Balmadies, Forfar, and £1210 from Mid Clochforbie, Fisherie. Also forward were 2747 store lambs and breeding sheep.
