Centre record averages were achieved at Caledonian Marts’ sale of Scotch Mule ewe lambs where 2875 head levelled at £103.41 – up £23.36 per head on the year.
The 544 Scotch Mule gimmers, also witnessed a cracking trade, balancing out at £141.68, plus £31.45.
Top price was £146 paid for a pen from D and L Graham, Mains of Burnbank, Blairdrummond, purchased by Lewis Smith, Towiemore, Keith.
Just behind on £140 was a pen from Heather Gray, Glenhead, which was chapped down to John Gordon, Wellheads, Huntly.
Gimmers peaked at £160 from Ross Brothers, Strichen, Fraserburgh, with another pen from Roskill, Gartenbantrick, Gartocharn, making £155 per head.
