Christmas Turkey sales were held at Lanark and St Boswells
Lanark
Lawrie and Symington saw 142 birds sold as part of their annual Christmas sale. Topping the trade was a 12.72kg oven-ready turkey selling at £145 from Messrs JB Currie and Son, Haswellsykes Farm, Peebles.

Birds – Haswellsykes £145, £135, £125 (x3), £115 (x3); Crawcraigs £125, £115, £105 (x2), £90 (x2); East Mosside £100, £95; Auchinellan £70, £65 (x2), £60 (x2).
St Boswells
A well-presented show of birds forward at the Harrison and Hetherington Christmas poultry sale averaging £64.88. Prices reached £90 for birds from Haswellsykes, Fenham Le Moor and Crawcraigs.
