An overall average of £2492 was achieved at the Border and Lakeland club sale, staged at Borderway mart, with seven animals selling for more than 3000gns.

The sales leader at 3200gns was the heifer, Boclair Doc Hope from David and John Brewster, Boclair Farm, Bearsden, Glasgow. A daughter of Woodcrest King Doc KCBB, she is bred from the VG89 classified dam, Boclair Crackerjack Hope. Taking this girl home was the pre-sale judge, Jim Caldwell from Baltersan, Maybole, Ayrshire.

Mr Caldwell also purchased his choice of champion at 3000gns in the form of Wormanby Dimension Twain from Wormanby Farms from Wormanby Farm, Burgh by Sands, Carlisle. She is bred from an impressive line of the Twain family that traces back to Eastside Skychief Twain who was a two time National Champion in Ireland and is sired by Kings-Ranson Dimension.

Two other heifers sold for 3000gns, firstly was Dalserf Morris Finesse from the Baillie family from Over Dalserf Farm, Ashgill, Larkhall, Lanarkshire, purchased by Messrs Mackie, Kilsyth, Glasgow, Lanarkshire. This one is the result of the sire, Peak Altamorris, onto Dalserf Chief Finesse.

This was followed by Berryholme Sound System Yvonne from the Wrights of Berry Holme, Helsington, Kendal, Cumbria. Sired by Mirabell Sound System, this heifer is bred from the Ex90 classified dam, Berryholme Solomon Yvonne, and sold to Messrs Royall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

The same buyer went to 2900gns for Feizor Rubicon O Delia 2 from WA and A Booth, Old Hall Farm, Feizor, Austwick, Lancaster, Lancashire. A daughter of EDG Rubicon, she is out of Feizor H Octane B Delia.

The same home also sold Feizor Adorable A Lasenza for 2900gns to Messrs Templeton, Auchinleck, Ayrshire. Bred from Feizor Awesome U Lasenza, she is sired by Stantons Adorable.

The best from Mungo Bryson, Whiteflat, Catrine, Ayrshire, made 2900gns when the hammer fell to Messrs Barrowman, Stranraer, Wigtownshire. This one is the result of the sire, Stantons Chief onto the VG86 classified dam, Whiteflat Seaverman Star.
