Bullocks sold to 387.90p for a 379kg Charolais cross from Ashfield, and to £2080 for a 736kg Limousin cross from Gartness.

A 330kg Limousin cross from Glenhead, topped the heifers at 424.20p, whilst a 656kg Charolais cross made £1940 for Auchenrivoch.

Store hoggs were topped by Suffolks from Deuchar at £139, with the breed averaging £123.87. Mules cashed in at £107.96 with Texels and Beltex at £103.54 and £117.44 respectively. Cheviots and Blackfaces averaged £95.50 and £100.72 respectively.

Heifers peaked at £1810 for more of the same breed from High Kilphin, and to 355p again from Longhouse.

Bullocks (382) and heifers (276) cashed in at 308.6p and 295.8p respectively.

Store hoggs reached £150 on two occasions, firstly for Texel from R Noble, Crossgates, and again for Beltex from Messrs Craig and Son, Rankinston.

Ewes and lambs sold to £90 per life for Roussin cross ewes with twin Texel lambs at foot from Lochend.

On Tuesday, the firm sold two dairy cattle to a top of £2000 for a fresh calved Holstein Friesian heifer from Messrs Telfer, High Branchal.

The 111 calves and stirks sold to £1550 for Limousin heifer stirks from Messrs Cunningham, Walkerdyke, with bullocks peaking at £1380 for Simmental crosses from High Auchneil.

Calves were topped at £700 for a British Blue cross heifer from T Forsyth, Isle, with bulls to £690 for a Limousin cross from Messrs McFarlane, Meikle Kilchatten.

Fardenreoch also produced the top price heifer at £1270 in the form of a pair of Aberdeen Angus, whilst top pence per kg of 302p was paid for Simmentals from J and A McCornick, Drumjargon, to average 262.5p.

Limousin crosses led all sections with a 238kg bullock making 395.0p for Kilmore, Sleat, and to 376.3p for a 372kg heifer from Lower Whitebog, Fortrose

More of the same breed from Park Farm, Nairn, led the per head sections with a 615kg bullock selling for £1920, whilst a 625kg heifer attained £1860.
