Black Baldies herd dispersal grosses £608,000 in Stirling

Buyers from as far north as Orkney and right down to Wales were forward for the dispersal of Robert Parker and family’s Black Baldie cattle herd from Drumdow, Stranraer.

The sale of Hereford and Aberdeen Angus cross females staged at United Auctions’ Stirling Agricultural Centre, met a flying trade with no fewer than 197 in-calf cows and heifers averaging a colossal £3087.30.

The five stock bulls peaked at £4200 for an Aberdeen Angus.
