The champion at Harrison and Hetherington's Jubilee calf show went on to secure the top price of the day of £630 for the Charolais bull calf from Messrs Templeton, Glenlaugh.

The judge, Roger Graves, found his reserve honours in a British Blue bull calf from Messrs James, Midtodhills, which later realised £390.

Among the heifers trade peaked at £580 for a British Blue from Smalmstown.
