Chris and Andrew Johnson of H Clark and Son, Paxton Dene, produced the top priced lot at £2320 at Hexham Auction Marts’ show and sale of 550 store cattle and suckled calves, with a British Blue cross steer.
An Aberdeen-Angus cross let the heifers at £1980 for FT Walton, Flotterton.
Judge, James Forsyth, Low Steads, found his pre-sale champion, in a Limousin cross steer from Geoff and James Ogle, Blackburn, which went on to make £1860.
