Store cattle entries from the Ross family Wester Middleton, produced both the pre-sale champion and reserve winners at Harrison and Hetherington’s show and sale of native cattle.

Their champion, an Aberdeen-Angus cross bullock went on to sell for £1830, whilst the reserve, a heifer sold for 348.5p per kg.

Bullocks averaged 278.72p per kg (+43p on the year), with heifers cashing in at 264.7p (+40p).
