Scottish buyers were at the forefront of the major reduction sale of the Middle Ayrshire and Whiteford’s Red and White herds from the Whiteford family, Middle, Brampton.

A joint top price of 3600gns was achieved, with the first to make that coming in the form of the Ayrshire 2020-born heifer, Middle Bessie VG86. This one travelled up to Aberdeen with Taylor, Methlick, Ellon, who got for his money a Troutbeck Tango daughter, bred from Keysmount Robinas 4. Having last calved in July with her second she was giving almost 40kgs and was due again to Middle Emjest.

The same price tag was paid for Middle Tripova VG87 by Messrs Rankin, Cumbernauld, Glasgow. This similarly aged girl is sired by Middle Hero and out of Middle Tripova, she is due again with her second in January to Middle George.

Messrs McCulloch, Stranraer, Wigtownshire, went to 3400gns for Middle Mitzy, a 2019 born Ayrshire. A daughter of Troutbeck Progress, she is bred from the VG86 classified dam, Middle Mitzy. She had calved with her third in June and was given 30kg.

Middle Jean sold for 3400gns to Messrs Taylor, Methlick, Ellon, from Aberdeen, being a daughter of Middle Hero she is out of the Ex90 classified dam, Middle Jean. Classified VG 86 she is due again in February to Ravenhill Victory.
