An 11-month-old Limousin heifer topped the annual Jonny Skelton show and sale of store cattle at Cockermouth, selling for £3000. The June 2025-born female, from the Richardson family at Low Garth, was purchased by AH Murray of The Beeches.
Steers peaked at £2490 for an entry from TA and C Foster, Rye Hill, while British Blues led their section at £2440, also from the same home.
The champion, a British Blue heifer from TW Bell and Son, Hill Top, sold for £2200, while the reserve champion, a Limousin steer from TW West, Pickett How, made £2340.
