A HIGH standard of store hoggs was on offer at Harrison and Hetherington's Borderway centre, on Monday, where a top of £86 per head was paid for a pen of Beltex from Messrs Bell, Mosshill.
Mules were well bid for to hit £61 from the same home.
In-lamb females were harder to sell and demand was limited, with a top of £120 paid for a pen of Suffolk cross ewes served by a Beltex from Sleetbeck, but ewes with lambs at foot met a stronger trade and peaked at £78 per life for a ¾ Texel ewe with twins from Dockray Hall.
