The Young Farmers show and calf rally at Dumfries saw victory for Lara Reid of Calfpark.

Her Limousin cross bullock sold at £1300 and her sister Jenna took the reserve championship and led the prices with her Limousin cross heifer which sold at £1500. Both calves were bred by Gary Bell, The Hass, Lockerbie.

Outwith the show, 190 bullocks averaged 217.8p per kg and sold to 252p and £1190. The 147 heifers averaged 210.4p per kg and sold to 239.5p per kg and £1090. The six bulls averaged 217.1p and reached 217.1p and £890.
