SOME 15 heifers sold through Lawrie and Symington, to a top of 342p for a 564kg Limousin from West Bog and £2022.72 for a 688kg Limousin from Pityot, to average 311p.
The 161 hoggs were led by T and J Clark, Wellheads with a pen of five 47kg Texels realising £157 or 340.9p twice, for 44kg Texels and 44kg Beltex from the same home.
The 21 cast sheep sold to £172 for a Charollais cross from P Cooper and Son, Govals.

HARRISON and Hetherington sold 461 hoggs to average 280p, with Texels leading at £174 twice from JR Walton, Grange Moor.
A Texel led the cast ewes at £193 from DM Mair, Kypie Farm.

AT Caledonian Marts' sale heifers averaged 306p with a top of 340p and £2178 for a Limousin from Upper Spittalton, with bullocks to 338p for a Limousin from AA and J Brand, Nethermyres or £2178 for a Limousin from AG Baillie and Son, Blackdub, to level at 299p.
OTM’s reached 260p for an Aberdeen Angus from Poltalloch, Nether Largie and to £2320 for a Limousin from A and K Farming, Westwoodlane.
Spring lambs averaged 334p having sold to 358p and £170 for Suffolks from Balhelvie, Newburgh, whilst hoggs reached 391p for Texels from G and J Davie, Harviesmailing, Denny and £180 H Miller, Glenhead, California, to level at 297p.
Cast ewes attained £183 for a pair of Texels from HT Shanks, Easter Cash, Strathmiglo.

UNITED Auctions sold 8306 prime hoggs to level at 303.43p, with Beltex making £200 and 465p from Easter Ochtermuthill.
The 19 new season lambs cashed in at 335.64p with prices peaking at £171 for Suffolks from Langside or 359p for Charollais from Gillbank.
The 1396 cast sheep witnessed Texels from Cassindilly led the charge at £268.

LIMOUSIN crosses led Aberdeen and Northern Marts’ bullock section at 325p from Auchmaliddie Mains, Maud and £2391.45 from Mains of Dumbreck, Udny, to level at 283.5p.
Heifers averaged 298.1p having sold to 341p and £2199.45 for a 645kg Limousin cross from Stoneyhill, Keith-hall, with young bulls to 314p for a 730kg Limousin cross from West Knock, Mintlaw.
The 5326 hoggs balanced out at 307p having reached 355.4p for 46kg Beltex from Drumnahive, Kildrummy and £222 for 70kg Texels from The Cottage, Wardes and 85kg Texels from Harestone Farm, Crathes.
Feeding sheep sold to £318 for a pure Texel from Messrs Blackhall, The Green, Raemoir.

AT C and D Auction Marts' sale of 6280 hoggs, prices reached £200 for Beltex from D and C Rodger, Comlongun Mains, Clarencefield and for Texels from M and J Park, Georgefield, Kirkpatrick Fleming.
Top price per kg was 424p per kg for a Beltex from F White, Barnside Farm, to level at 302.9p.
Texels led the 3738 cast ewes at £312 from RJ Burgess, The Bush, Hightae.
St Boswells
AT Harrison and Hetherington's show and sale of prime cattle, the championship was awarded to Messrs Dixon, Whitsome West Newton with a black Limousin cross heifer which topped the trade at 360p per kg or £2390.40.
Reserve honours went to Messrs Heslop, Bridge House with a black Limousin cross bullock which led the section at 342p and £2298.24.
Cast cows reached £2103.30 from Allanbank House or to 261p from The Craggs, to level at 220p.
Beltex from Faughhill topped the hoggs at £187 and 397.8p, to level at 305p.
Cast sheep peaked at £221 for a Beltex cross ewe from J Pate and Son, Mossilee.

The 3657 prime hoggs were topped at £185 for Beltex from Messrs Parker, Prior Rigg and to 379p for Beltex from Messrs Arthur, Greenaton, to average 309p.
The 1074 sheep reached £288 for a Texel from Fox St Johns Kirk Est.

TRADE soared at Harrison and Hetherington's sale with bullocks topping at £2435.90 and 329.50p for a 753kg Limousin cross from Messrs Nicholson, The Lake, Carlisle.
Top price amongst the heifers was £2193.33 and 330.5p paid for a 678kg entry from Messrs Studholme, Nealhouses, Carlisle.
Spring lambs sold to average 409p where Messrs Musgrave, Cardew Hall, Dalston sold six Beltex to a top of £220 and 526.8p, to level at 509p.
The hogg trade reached £210 for Beltex from Osborne Farm, Wigton or to 473.2p for a pen of eight Beltex from Michael Pickworth, Dotland Park.
Cull ewes attained £185 for a Beltex cross from R and JP Mulholland, Great Orton.
Ayr
CRAIG Wilson Marts’ sold 1723 hoggs to average 301.8p per kg on Monday and to a top of £177 and 377p for a pen of Beltex from T Stevenson, Balcaimie.
The 214 cast sheep were led by Border Leicester tups at £221 from The Steel Family, Ditton.
On Tuesday, prime heifers levelled at 316.36p having peaked at 348p and £2089.10 for a black Limousin cross from The Smith Family, North Boig.
Dingwall
DINGWALL and Highland Marts’ sale saw bullocks average 291.3p having attained 310p for a 590kg Aberdeen-Angus cross from Easter Sheep Park, Balblair and £2194.50 for a 700kg Charolais cross from the same home.
Bridgend Farm led the heifers at 310p and £2032.80 with a 605kg Limousin cross. Heifers cashed in at 296.2p.
The 1064 prime hoggs averaged 299p having peaked at 333p for 45kg Beltex crosses from The Cloy, Fortrose and £162 for a Texel from Barnyards, Beauly.
Feeding sheep (518) reached £275 for a pair of Texel ewes from Craigiebank Farms, Forgie.
Castle Douglas
The 767 hoggs sold through Wallets Marts levelled at 294.87p with a top price of £172.50 paid for Texels from Messrs Brown, Drumcoltran and to 357p for Beltex from Messrs Adams, Torhousekie.
Cast sheep attained £261 for Texels from Messrs Black, Hillside.
