Auchinleck Horse Trials has received a date from British Eventing (BE) to hold an event in 2014.
It was initially feared that the popular Ayrshire event would be lost from the eventing calendar after it was cancelled this year.
Organiser Aly Boswell has been running the event at her home in Ayrshire since 1984, and is one of the few events in Scotland to hold an advanced class.
BE have confirmed that Auchinleck can run on June 7, 2014, but from grass-roots to novice.
"I am pleased, because it means we will still keep a proper eventing interest in this area," said Mrs Boswell.
"If running from novice down makes it less risky [in insurance terms], that is fine by me," she added.
