Here’s an example to all the newlyweds out there. The Nicoll family have something to celebrate with both a 60 and 70-year wedding anniversary between two brothers this year.
Rob Nicoll and wife Jean (Jane Middleton) were married on May 28, 1949, at Forfar, making this their 70-year anniversary. Rob and Jean farmed at Mill of Brighty, Tealing, Dundee, until they retired to Monifieth.
Rob’s brother Charles (Chic) and his wife Sheila, (Patullo) celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary at home in June this year, they were married 60 years ago at Kirriemuir. They farmed at Newton of Fotheringham, Inverarity, until they retired to Forfar.
Pictured are both couples on their wedding day and now enjoying a relaxed retirement.
