There's a new dealer in Scotland for the Farmtrac brand of 'sensibly priced' tractors.

Gammies Groundcare, based in Forfar, is the latest Farmtrac dealer, and has praised the brand's competitive pricing, comprehensive range and warranty as reasons to get behind it.

Les Gammie, depot manager, said: “The first thing that really drew me in was the retail price point, which I felt was very competitive. We’ve had some competition in this area with tractors, so we were looking for something to fill out our offering and compete and Farmtrac fit the bill perfectly.

"The range, warranty and price made the decision for me and together, it all made the perfect combination.”

Farmtrac’s innovative range includes and industry-first, the all-electric FT25G tractor. Charged from a domestic socket to 100% in eight hours and able to run for up to seven hours, productivity isn’t affected by the decision to go green.

Its compact size, zero emissions and low noise levels make it a popular option for small farms, orchards, equestrian centres and more.

“The FT25G all-electric definitely stands out from the range,” added Mr Gammie. “It’s totally unique, there’s nothing else like it on the market right now.

"I’m really eager to see how it does with our customers, but overall, it’s really exciting to be able to get stuck in with Farmtrac.

“We’ve only had Farmtrac in stock for a couple of weeks, but we’re already seeing interest in them. We’ve got a few quotes out there now and I can see the brand being a real pleasure to work with.”

The distributor, Reesink Agriculture, also played a part in the Gammies' decision, and Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager for Reesink, said: “We are very pleased to have Gammies on board as a Farmtrac dealer in Scotland. They have a great team in place and a broad customer base which they have been serving for many years, which makes them a good fit for us.”
