The first of the new crop – the first batch of ‘21-plate John Deere tractors ready to be put to work from J and S Montgomery, of Lochwinnoch – the largest number of machines ready to be dispatched by the dealership on March 1.

New tractors have been delivered from all three of the firm’s Ayrshire depots at Beith, Stranraer and Ayr, with the smallest model in the photographed line-up being a John Deere 5075E and the largest model being a John Deere 6250R.

J and S Montgomery’s sales director, Jim Hood, said: “This has been the busiest spring we have ever had and it has been fantastic to see and also to be a part of the buzz. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, production has been delayed this year and waiting times for all machinery is the longest it has ever been – that has been disappointing for us as a dealership and for our customers.

“Hopefully, the delays won’t be here for much longer and normal production times can resume as soon as possible.”
