In its 30th anniversary year, Claas is updating its Lexion high-performance combine range and introducing a new model. Key improvements focus on engine power, grain tank capacity, and operator comfort.

The Lexion 7500, 8700, and 6800 will feature new engines. Since the launch of the Lexion 480 at Agritechnica in 1995, Claas has produced over 75,000 machines, with the 8000, 7000, 6000, and 5000 series remaining global leaders in harvesting efficiency and comfort.

The 2026 range adds the Lexion 8500, expanding the 8000 series to five performance classes in both wheeled and Terra Trac versions. The Lexion 8900 TT tops the range with a 790hp MAN D42 engine and an 18,000l grain tank.

The new 8500 models feature a MAN D26 six-cylinder engine producing 549hp with 13,500 or 15,000l grain tanks. The 8700 and 8600 run MAN D38 six-cylinder engines with 646 and 598hp, combining strong torque with fuel efficiency.

All models use the APS Synflow Hybrid system, with a 1700mm feed channel, 755mm threshing drum, and twin axial rotors. The 8500 has five rotor concaves at 1000rpm, while the 8600–8900 series offers six concaves at up to 1200rpm.

Grain tank capacities have increased, with the 8500/8600 holding 13,000 or 15,000l and the 8700 offering 15,000 or 18,000l with a 180l/s unloading rate, the largest in its class.

Cabs now feature Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 6.75-inch touchscreen, DAB+ radio, Bluetooth, improved lighting, storage, and external LED lamps.

Optional packages allow tailored seating, cameras, lighting, and wireless charging. Cemos driver assistance offers Auto, Auto Plus, and Auto Professional modes for optimal crop flow, separation, and grain quality.

Claas connect integrates setup, service, fleet management, and precision farming tools, including automatic yield mapping and advanced order management across multiple machines.
