Avon Tuning HD (ATHD) has launched its latest remapping device, ‘The Genius’, designed to streamline the number of tools needed for remapping agricultural machinery while offering an improved user interface and better rural connectivity.
The new device will replace ATHD’s existing ‘New Genius’ and ‘New Transdata’ units used across its agent network of more than 175 across the UK and Ireland. As the country’s largest provider of Dimsport remapping equipment, ATHD says the upgrade brings several key benefits for its users.
Managing director at Avon Tuning HD, Gareth Jones explained: “While the two existing devices have been reliable and efficient, The Genuis is much easier to use and navigate, features advanced hardware and rural connection, and has improved technical support options via a VPN connection. All of which help to make the agents’ life easier when carrying out remapping on farm, while reducing the time machines are out of action for a remap to be installed.”

One of the biggest advantages for agents is that a computer or laptop is no longer required for ECU reading or writing processes. The Genius also incorporates upgraded software and firmware updating processes, making it quicker and simpler to use. Crucially, it supports both OBD tuning and bench tuning, which previously required separate devices.
A further benefit is a remote VPN connection, allowing ATHD’s technical support team to access the device in real time. This enables engineers to resolve any issues on farm quickly and effectively.
Jones added: “Farms and tractor cabs aren’t ideal places for laptops, so having a single tool that engineers can use to access machines regardless of the connection required, is going to improve the efficiency of each job and save the farmer downtime on the machine. Having real-time VPN access, so our technicians in the UK can access an agent’s screen, will ensure we maintain our high standards and any issues are resolved quickly.”
To encourage existing agents to upgrade, Dimsport is offering a cost-effective trade-in deal. ATHD will showcase The Genius at LAMMA 2026, Hall 7, Stand 600, where both current and prospective agents can test the device.
