LEWIS CROFTER Donald MacSween is set to return to television screens for the second series of BBC Alba's 'The Croft'.

The first series watched how Mr MacSween – AKA Sweeny – turned his passion for crofting into a full-time career, and the new six-part run will look at how plans for his second year in the job are coming along.

From Ness on the Isle of Lewis, Mr MacSween was given the croft by his parents as a 21st birthday present. The new programme will join him in early spring, as he is seen gathering sheep in from the moor, ahead of lambing, after expanding his flock from 60 to 80.

The Croft / An Lot, starts on Monday, December 12 at 8.30pm, on BBC Alba.
