POLICE IN Caithness are appealing for information following the theft of heating oil from two properties in the county.
Incidents have been in reported in the Halkirk and Berriedale areas, with both thefts occurring between Monday, January 14 and Friday, February 1.
Sergeant Stephen Mezals said: “While we continue our investigations into these thefts, we are urging the public to be vigilant at this time of year with regards to theft of domestic heating oil.
"We would ask that you report any instances where you see people acting suspiciously in areas where you know there to be oil tanks.”
