AT THE upcoming Royal Highland Show, SP Energy Networks will be ensuring Scotland’s farming community are aware of the risks of overhead power lines, providing a demonstration on best practice for those who comes in to close contact with them on their farms. Partnering once again with the Scottish Association of Young Farmer's Clubs, cab stickers are being distributed to its members with information on what to do in the event of hitting an overhead line.
On the first day of the show, Thursday 20, their land and planning team will be re-launching their Land Code of Conduct policy, aimed at land agents and land owners and anyone who hosts their electrical apparatus and equipment on their land.
As part of their commitment to facilitating Scotland’s transition to a low carbon economy they will also be hosting open surgeries for customers wishing to explore installing renewable generation. Representatives will be on hand to take questions from customers on Thursday & Friday at their stand in the grounds of the SAYFC building. They are eager to encourage customers to engage with them early in taking forward new connections, to enable SP Energy Networks to support them on their journey.
